What’s a Planting & What’s the Planting “Status”?

A planting is a set of trays for a specific crop. These trays are planted and harvested at the same time. A planting or planting group can be for one order or multiple.

1. This is our plantings dashboard. The dashboard highlights each planting group's crop, the number of trays, the current production stage, and the scheduled harvest date

2. Select a planting ID to see more details

3. This planting is for a group of broccoli trays. 23 trays were planted in total, comprised of 21.12 assigned trays and 1.88 trays of surplus. You'll see other information, like the amount of seed needed, total expected yield, and more

4. A planting group can be for one order or multiple. In this example, the 21.12 assigned trays are for seven orders of various sizes, but all include broccoli. You can see they all have the same delivery date

5. A planting can have one of three statuses. "Planned" means none of the tasks for the planting have been completed. "In Progress" means at least one task has been marked complete. This planting group is "In Progress" because the "Plant and weighted germination" and "Under lights" steps are complete. A planting group changes to a "Completed" status when all tasks are complete
