How to Edit the Timing/Frequency for Recurring Plantings
This guide shows you how to edit the timing of a recurring order. We use a real example to show you what the software displays as you make certain edits to the timing.

Last updated 1 day ago1. We're looking at a planting that begins on July 4th and happens every Friday

2. Looking at the current child plantings, one is "In Progress" while the rest are "Planned"

3. To edit the timing, click "Options" then "Edit Times"

4. A form will appear with options to change the end date, start date, and frequency

5. We'll change the start date from July 4th to July 11th

6. We'll change from "Every Nth day of the week" to "Every N weeks"

7. By entering a two here, we're going from weekly plantings to plantings every other week

8. Decide if you want to create any overdue plantings or not. You can read the tooltip to learn more, or read our guide "What it Means to 'Create Overdue Plantings' (One-Time Orders)"

9. Before we submit, we can check the changes Microgreen Manager will make to the recurring planting. First, any existing "Planned" child plantings will be deleted. Second, no overdue plantings will be created. Based on the new start date, the new frequency, and the grow time of the crop, there are no overdue plantings. Third, new plantings will be created for July 11th, July 25th, and August 8th. The new plantings are based on the new frequency and start date

10. Click "Submit"

11. We can see the new start date and frequency in the summary

12. Under child plantings, we can see the original "In Progress" child planting for July 4th is intact. The other child plantings were removed, and new ones were added based on the updated parameters
