What is a Crop?

Defines what a crop represents inside Microgreen Manager and how it’s used throughout the system. Crops are the foundation for plantings, yields, and products.

  1. A Crop is a single type of microgreen. A crop can be generic, such as "Basil", or specific, such as "Purple Basil", "Genovese Basil", or "Lemon Basil".

  2. Each crop has its own customizable parameters. Some parameters are required, but many are optional

    1. Required parameters include: crop name, expected or average yield per tray, and total grow time

    2. Optional parameters include: notes, sow density, safety margin, shelf life, harvest buffer time, crop steps and durations, and products
