How to Bulk Edit Your Crops

Bulk editing your crops lets you quickly update many varieties at once. However, it's an advanced feature meant for users who know the software well.

1. Navigate to https://microgreenmanager.com/crops

2. Click "Export Crops to CSV," download the file, and open it in Excel

3. The ability to edit crops in bulk hinges on the name staying exactly the same. Don't change any of the crop names

4. For this example, we'll change the Yield per Tray to 3 oz. for all crops

5. We'll also change the Grow Time to 100 Days for all crops

6. Save the file

7. Go back to Microgreen Manager. Click "Import Crops With CSV"

8. Click "Select File" and import the file we just modified

9. We can see 30 rows were successfully processed, which are displayed in the table. To bulk edit the existing crops, you need to click the toggle button - "Edit existing crops with the same name." If you don't, Microgreen Manager will see the 30 crops in the table as new ones. This will mean everything gets duplicated.

10. Bulk editing is an advanced feature. Be sure to understand how editing a crop will impact the rest of your farm

11. "Edit Existing" means the software understands it’s modifying a current crop, not making a new one.

12. We can also see that the new Yield per Tray and Grow Time are updated to 3 oz. and 100 Days, respectively

13. Click "Import"

14. You've successfully bulk edited your crops
