Identifying What Crops You Lose Most Often

Knowing which crops cause the most issues on your farm is key. This helps you make changes to lower die-off and improve food safety. This guide shows you how to check the frequency of lost trays for your crops and your farm as a whole.

1. Click "Farm Report"

2. The farm report has a column for the number of "Lost" trays for each crop. This is a great way of seeing what crops are being most problematic. Here's an advanced tip. After using Microgreen Manager for a while, visit the farm report to see the percentage lost for each crop. Go into each crop page and update the "Safety Margin" to be at or above this percentage. For example, we can see dill has a "Lost" value of 16%. I would go back to the dill crop data and update the safety margin to be 16-20%

3. You also see the "Total Trays Lost" for the whole farm. Check in with this data periodically to see if the percentage is growing or shrinking. If it keeps rising, consider reviewing your cleaning and sanitation practices. You might also want to change to more trusted seed and soil vendors. You can even make a recurring task to check this number every few weeks
